Foreclosure Alley – SoCal Connected

What I find particularly interesting is that there are no interviews with people who have lost their homes, just their neighbors. At the end, the reported asks something along the lines of “are you afraid of losing your home? We want to hear your story.” They don’t ask “have you lost your home?” even though that’s the most blatantly absent perspective in the article. I’ve noticed this in other pieces of journalism– as soon as someone actually becomes homeless, they totally lose their voice and citizenship in society.
